Flexspace Architectural Technology Infrastructure™ has been awarded a 2002 Design Journal “Platinum” ADEX for superior product design and best technology innovation in the category of “Technology Innovation for Power and Communication Management.” In the seventh annual competition, the Flexspace entry was ranked first in its category and deemed “best technology innovation” by a panel of judges consisting of architects, designers and specifiers from the planning and design community. The annual competition has grown to become the most prestigious awards program for product design of furnishings and building materials marketed to the architectural and interior design trade. This year the Design Journal received 1,463 product entries in 12 broad categories.
The Design Journal is one of the most important US design magazines, with a circulation of 70,000. Each year the publication sponsors the competition to recognize a select group of outstanding products marketed to the trade for their superior design features. The ADEX award winners will be introduced in the upcoming second quarter issue of the Design Journal Magazine released on March 25, 2003. The winners will also be highlighted in the Design Journal’s booth at four national industry trade show events in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto.
